Can't comment on the farm or accommodation but I recently went here with a friend for dinner. It was a mid week, low season evening with no other customers and the owners away overseas. Which was a bit of a shame as I had been very keen to try the owners cooking. Will have to return when they are home from overseas. The man and woman that were running the restaurant in place of them were very friendly and accommodating. I called in advance to advise of my dietary requirements and the lady prepared me a lovely plant based meal with quality ingredients. Some of the produce grown on the property itself. It was good value for 21 dollars for the vege meal with rice and fruit on the side too.
Really ambient and beautiful chilled out Bali vibe. Will be back again with a friend next time we go chasing waterfalls in Litchfield.
ABSOLUTELY LOVELY STAY, we spent 2 nights at the farm, one of the most hospitable hosts you could meet. The owner operator Chris really does treat you like a visiting family member.
If you are looking for a place with character and charm, this is it.
Loved feeding the animals, I was lord of the bunnies!!!
If 5 star hotels are more what you are looking for, then this probably isn't for you.
Thi place was probably very good in its hay day, very run down, on 2 butterflies on the day we went, didnt have children with us but wouldnt recomend it for animal petting. Looks like a hippy hangout. Could be great again with some work.
It's a lovely quirky place. Chris and his wife were very friendly. At dinner, we got to eat the produce from their farm, which has goats rabbits chickens and veggies.
Delicious and interesting meals made with home grown vegetables. Meals were made with care and were very homely. The owner even gave us fresh okra from the garden - I was sceptical but loved it. Did the tour and enjoyed feeding the animals
A quaint and cosy place to stay, loved feeding the animals in the farm. Chris and the staff were wonderful hosts. Tip when dining in: Ask for Angel’s sambal if you like chilli with your meal, it’s delicious! 🔥 …
This is probably my all time favourite place to stay in Batchelor/Litchfield! Chris and his wife Angel are the perfect hosts and the rooms are always clean and spacious.
Must see the Butterfly sanctuary and ask Angel really nicely for a Calamansi drink! Plus feed all the farm animals in the morning and carrots to the bunnies.
Had an awesome time when I was down last. Chris and his wife were lovely to my family and I, not to mention gave us a few goodies from their garden and played with the baby goats. Beautiful walk through the butterflies.
Thanks Chris! - Miller kids + Rooster
